European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
SME, a manufacturer of parts of structures based in Sablé in western France, has gone bankrupt and, on 8 July 2009, dismissed 280 employees.
The SME family had lost several large contracts. In June, the employees were on strike.
