Description

Jabil Circuit Magyarország Szerződéses Gyártó, a Hungarian designer and manufacturer of electrical products, has announced 900 job losses.

The company announced a significant workforce downscale of 900 employees, implemented by the non-renewal of the contracts of both temporary agency workers and employees on payroll. The company declared that decreasing the workforce is necessary due to the global economic crisis that is causing a fall in demand for its products. According to local political authorities, Jabil Circuit has always been characterized by the continuous change of its size to comply with changing market circumstances. This strategy has resulted in a fluctuation in the number of its employees.

Jabil Circuit Magyarország, based in Tiszaújváros (Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county), is a subsidiary of Jabil Circuit, whose headquarters are in St Petersburg (USA). The company is an electronic solutions provider, designing, manufacturing, and managing electrical products.
