European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
British Gas has announced plans to create 2600 jobs across the UK by 2012. The new posts will be filled by 2100 energy experts, 400 support staff and 130 managerial staff, and come as a result of the company's launch of smart meter technology.
