Description

The Danish shipyard Odense Staalskibsværft, situated in Odense, has announced that 175 mainly white-collar employees are to be made redundant. After consultations with the employees' representatives it was decided to dismiss only 100 from 1 July. The dismissals are due to a stagnation in the number of building orders.

The Danish authorities have applied for aid from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF).
