Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Putzmeister Group, a producer of concrete pumps, has announced that it is to cut 950 jobs worldwide in response to a decrease in orders. In 2007, the company had a global workforce of 3,600 (3,871 in 2007). German sites will be affected by a loss of 580 jobs. As of June 2009, there is no information either on countries affected or timeline. In Germany, management and works council are currently negotiating a social plan.
