Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Oerlikon Graziano, worldwide leader in high-tech gear production, is to cut 1,387 jobs in Italy. 1,200 redundant workers should be blue-collars, while 187 should be white-collars. In Italy, the Oerlikon Graziano group has its main plants in Piedmont. Oerlikon Graziano is structured with 11 manufacturing plants and two marketing companies placed in Europe (Italy, Czech Republic, Russia and UK), in Asia (China and India) and in North America. It has around 18,000 employees worldwide. In Italy, it has 2,400 employees.
