European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Italtel, a European manufacturer of telecommunications networks' technologies, is to cut 400 jobs by the end of 2011 in its European sites. The new reorganisation plan is consequent to the recent loss in revenues, mainly due to the economic crisis.
Italtel designs, develops, implements solutions for next generation networks and services based on IP protocol accompanied by a full range of professional services. In Italy, its main customer is Telecom Italia. It employs 2,300 people across Europe.
