European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Portugal Telecom has recently signed an agreement with the Portuguese government and other telecommunications providers to develop a fiber optic network. The objective is to enable access to next-generation services for up to 1.5 million. The project will involve an investment of €715 million and create 5000 new jobs, mostly indirect jobs.
