Description

On 28 June 2011, Taiwanese company AU Optronics opened a new plant for the production of LCD components nearby Trenčín employing 700 workers. Another 600 jobs will be created by the end of 2013. Overall, about 2,000 new jobs are expected to be created by various subcontractors. The Slovak government will provide financial aid to the company amounting to almost 35 million euro.
