Kanthal is a world-leading manufacturer of electrical alloys for generating, controlling, protecting against and measuring heat. The job reductions are due to decreasing orders and will affect 100 blue-collar workers and 35 white-collar workers at the unit in Hallstahammar. Training will be provided by Kanthal for the dismissed employees during their period of notice. The training is being provided by the company in the expectation that they will be able to re-employ the dismissed when the economic situation will improve.
