Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Zakład Mechaniczny Bumar-Mikulczyce of Zabrze, a subsidiary of Bumar-Łabędy of Gliwice, plans to cut 100 jobs by the end of September 2009 due a sharp fall in orders. The Zabrze company produces mechanical power transfer systems for motor vehicles, tooling machines, and agricultural equipment. The company currently employs 230 people.
