Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 15 May 2009, printing group Roto Smeets announced it will scrap 450 jobs in the coming one and a half year. Backround is excess capacity in the sector, aggravated by the recession.
As reported, the Netherlands applied for assistance from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF).
