Description
Delphi Slovakia, which is based in Senica and produces wire harnesses for cars, has announced a mass dismissal of 419 out of 1,900 employees. Dismissals will take place in May and June 2009.. The reason given was the downturn in the automotive industry. The company supplies many car makers, e.g. Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi, Daimler-Chrysler, Škoda. It is assumed that dismissals will actually concern fewer workers.
