Pc City, a chain of computer stores, has reached an agreement with the Trade Unions based on the Redundancy Dismissal Procedure (ERE) that will involve the loss of 215 jobs and the closure of 10 stores across Spain. The affected stores are Roquetas (Almería), Ramblas (Barcelona), Torrejón (Madrid), Algeciras (Cadiz), Alicante , Talavera (Toledo), Logroño, Vitoria, Oviedo and Zaragoza-Puerto Venecia. The closure of the ten stores is due to the global economic crisis which has resulted in a significant fall in sales. To date, the chain operates 41 stores that employ more than 1,600 workers.
