Description
TV maker Toshiba is transferring television production from its Plymouth factory to Poland in a move to centralise its European television production in the country. The plant currently employs 321 people, 50 of whom will remain at the factory to repair televisions and to advise the Polish team. Union officials for Unite questioned the economic rationale for moving to Poland stating that wages had risen in the country and that the move may not make economic sense.
