Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Webhelp, a telecommunication company, is to open a call centre in Grâce-de-Dieu, in the Basse-Normandie region. The centre will start operating in December 2009 and will create 250 jobs until 2012. The French branch of the company at present employs 500 workers in Pierre-Heuzé and Colombelles. Its customers include Bouygues Télécom, Orange and Direct énergie.
