Description

Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet plans to dismiss 100 workers (out of a workforce of 550) by the end of 2009 from its plant in Nowa Dęba (in podkarpacki region). Dezamet produces a range of weapons and ammunition for the defence sector: hand grenades, rifle grenades, ammunition, air bombs, fuses and from civilian sector: parts to the construction machines, road machines and mining machines.

As reported, Poland has applied for assistance from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF).
