Description
Statistics Lithuania, the central statistical office to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania intends to dismiss 59 employees in Vilnius by the beginning of July 2009. At present, 352 people are employed in Statistics Lithuania. The main cause of the dismissals is a restructuring of Statistics Lithuania, which is implemented with the aim to save 2.5 million LTL. Recently the Government of Lithuania has announced the intention to reduce government expenditure by 3.2 billion LTL in 2009.
