Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 4 April 2009 MGC, a producer of aluminium parts for the automotive sector, announced it will cut 140 jobs in its Bergen and Tegelen plants in the southern part of the Netherlands. Background is the dramatic decline in turnover in the automotive sector.
