Retailer The Original Factory Shop, a discount department store, has announced that it is taking over five former Woolworth stores in Wales. The chain currently employs 100 people in Wales at its stores in Flint, Haverfordwest, Pontllanffraith and Buckley. The company announced increased profits since its competitor Woolworth closed down. As well as opening on its former premises it is hoping to recruit some of its former staff. No details were given of when staff would be recruited or when stores would reopen.
