European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Bombardier Aerospace, a manufacturer of aircrafts, is to cut 975 jobs from its factories in Northern Ireland. The cuts are blamed on an 'unprecedented recession' and they will affect 310 permanent staff and 665 agency staff. The company stated that it hopes to achieve most of the cuts through voluntary redundancies. As of 6 April 2009 there is no information on when the job losses will occur.
