Description
On 1 April 2009, the manufacturer of food products Unilever announced to cut 170 jobs in Germany by the end of the year. Job cuts are a part of an internal restructuring programme. The company plans to reduce costs by job cuts at its administrative units in Hamburg as well as within its sales force. Unilever predicts that the restructuring measures will bring savings of 30 million euros.
Unilver employs a total of around 7,000 people in Germany.
