The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The largest bank in Denmark, Den Danske Bank, announced 5 February 2009 that 250 employees, mainly in the IT-department in Copenhagen, will be made redundant. Danske Bank had a deficit of DKK 12 billion in 2008, which is the direct reason for the redundancies. Danske Bank has 23,600 employees.
