European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Danish iron foundry, Vald. Birns Jernstøberi in Holstebro announced that 225 employees in the production department will be made redundant. The reason for restructuring is lack of orders. Vald. Birn is sub supplier to the car industry. According to collective agreement the management and the employees' representatives will discuss possibile ways to mitigate the redundancies.
