European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Hospital group Orbis announced on 9 March 2009 that it will cut 700 jobs. Background is a newly built hospital facility which was largely over budget (380m euro) as well as a large internal bureaucracy. On 20 March the unions rejected any compulsory dismissals, referring to an agreement concluded in 2008.
