Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Norli Gruppen, a bookstore chain owned by the Aschehoug publishing house, announced a downsizing of 120 man-labour years within the end of 2009. 10 out of 70 bookstores will be closed.
Norli had a deficit of 80 million NOK last year and stated in a press release that unprofitable acitivities will be discontinued. With the announced measures the company expects to achieve a surplus in 2010.
