Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Owen International, a glass manufacturer based in Gironcourt-sur-Vraine, is to close one of its three furnaces resulting in a loss of 104 jobs. Owen International is an American Company. The furnace will be closed temporarily until March 2009. These job losses are part of a European wide restructuring plan, which affects equally plants in Spain and Germany.
