Wrekin Construction Group has made 420 employees redundant after it went into administration on 10 March 2009. The cuts were blamed on cash-flow problems and affected staff at company sites in Shropshire, Northamptonshire, Cheshire and Yorkshire. The company kept 70 staff at headquarters in Shropshire to help administrators with the closure of the business.
