Description
The Estonian Road Administration will be merged with the National Vehicle Registration Centre by 2010, involving between 120 and 135 job cuts. The aim of the merger is to increase the efficiency of the institutional framework considering safety on roads. According to the ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, the majority of the job cuts are related to the internal restructuring in the Road Administration and would have taken place also without the merger.
