Description
Whirlpool Slovakia, based in Poprad, is to dismiss 131 out of its 1100 employees by the end of March 2009. Employees across all departments in the company will be affected by the dismissals. The dismissals are due to the economic downturn. This plant in Poprad is the biggest Whirlpool plant producing washing machines in Europe.
