Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Pliva, the pharmaceutical company from the Israeli group Teva, is to cut 790 jobs from its headquarters in Zagreb (Croatia) and another 613 jobs at various units located in Poland (the factory in Krakow as well as the R&D and administrative units in Krakow and Warsaw). The job losses will occur by the end of 2009.
