Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
120 new jobs are to be created over the next three years at a new pharmaceutical plant, Pharmacare Premium Malta, to be set up in Malta. The Palestinian-German company Pharmacare Ltd. Europe and the Malta-registered Pharma Group Ltd will set up a new pharmaceutical plant which should be employing 120 workers within three years. About EUR 10 million will be invested in the joint venture dubbed Pharmacare Premium Malta. The Pharmacare Chairman said that Malta's EU membership, euro adoption and strategic geographic location were the main reasons for deciding to locate the plant in Malta. The country's qualified and flexible human resources were also said to have played a role in attracting the investment. The manufacturing company is expected to start operating in 2010 with about 60 workers and should increase its employees to 120 within three years.
