The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Kent Messenger Group, a media company, is to cut 159 jobs at sites across Kent. The company, which owns newspapers such as the Kent Messenger and Medway Messenger, as well as radio stations and websites, had already cut its staffing level from 640 to 550 in September 2008 as it attempts to reduce its costs. The company is aiming to make the cuts by April 2009.
