Description
Arcont, which manufactures storage and shipoping containers, and office and sanitary cabins, is to make redundant 132 employees at its plant in Gornja Radgona.
Arcont is the largest producer of residential (office, sanitary) cabins in Europe located in Gornja Radgona in Pomurska region. The company is majority owned by Austrian company Containex.
Due to 30% reduction of orders the company by the end of January 2009 will reduce the number of employees from 682 to 550, i.e. by 132. Of those 132, 97 are on fixed term contracts which will not be renewed, and 35 were non-nationals employed via employment agencies.
