JobCentre, the government body that helps people to find work, is to create 300 jobs across Scotland. The jobs are being created as redundancies rise in the current economic climate. The scheme is part of a wider one to increase JobCentre staff in Scotland by 1,400 over the next 18 months. No information is available as to how many UK JobCentre staff are employed in Scotland.
