Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
May Gurney, a construction company, is to cut 150 jobs across Devon and Cornwall. The firm, which employs 5,000 people in the UK, is cutting the jobs as a renovation project has come to an end. The jobs will be lost in April 2009.
