ITW Metalflex, which manufactures electrical components for household appliances, in Tolmin, Slovenia, has laid off 51 employees from a total of 450. ITW Metalflex produces components for household appliances (switches, signal lamps and signal set, micro-switches, thermostats etc.). It is located in the town of Tolmin in the Goriška region. The company is part of the US-based ITW Appliance Group. In mid 2008, the company employed 450 people, but then in the last half year has laid off 51 people due to a 20% reduction in orders.
