Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Arvika Gjuteri, which mainly manufactures truck parts for agricultural and construction equipment, gave notice to 81 employees as a result of a decrease in demand. The total number of employees at the factory in Norrahammar, before the notice, was 13 employees and in Arvika, 251 employees. In Norrahammar 2 white collar workers and 5 metal workers were given notice, while in Arvika 9 white collar workers and 65 metal workers were given notice.
