Surrey Police force has announced that it is to cut 144 jobs. The force will cut a combination of police officers and support staff as a result of what the force has claimed to be insufficient funding. As of 15 February 2009, no announcement has been made as to when these jobs will be cut, or how many jobs will remain in the force.
