European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Nearly 200 miners will be laid-off from Gorubso Madan, a non-ferous metals extraction enterprise in the town of Madan, Blagoevrgad district. The redundancies will begin with 100 workers who have reached retirement age. According to the management the main reasons for this are the economic crisis and the sudden drop of metal prices at the London Commodity Exchange.
