Beverage manufacturer, Britvic Ireland, is to make 145 employees redundant by February 2010. The redundancies are a result of an internal restructuing plan, and the jobs are to be cut in the areas of logistics, finance, IT, and sales. Britvic Ireland, wihose drinks brands include Ballygowan, 7UP, Club, Mi Wadi and Robinsons, presently employs 940 staff in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Donegal and Belfast. As part of the restructuring, the company may possibly amalgamate regional distribution centres to Dublin, which could result in the closure of its Cork, Donegal and Waterford depots.
