Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

VDL Bova, which manufactures buses, announced on the 16th January 2009 that it will cut 100 jobs from its workforce in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands. The represents a cut of 20% of its workforce. 50 jobs are to be cut immediately, and the remaining 50 will be cut later in 2009. The job cuts are a result of a fall in demand and increasing competition from low wage countries.
