Description

Alita, the biggest Lithuanian company producing alcoholic beverages, intends to dismiss 80 employees in its site of Alytus by the end of March 2009. At present the company employs 316 people. According to the management, the main causes of the dismissals were increased excise tax on alcoholic beverages in Lithuania (since 1 January 2009) and decreased company's sales.
