Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Administrative Board of Ethnos and Sunday Ethnos, two of the leading Greek newspapers, announced on 16th January 2009, a downsizing of up to 100 employees due to losses of more than 10 million euros per year.
Ethnos (the first newspaper published in tabloid form) and Sunday Ethnos (first to offer a separate insert on leisure activities) are both part of the Pegasus Publishing Group -a head company of a group of enterprises within the field of Mass Media.
The Group mainly publishes newspapers and magazines while it also offers other companies Pre-press services (electronic format, layout, photo adjustment etc) and then undertakes the delivery of the final products which are the newspaper, the magazine as well as any other form of mass media products, advertising booklets etc.
