Description
British Gypsum, a manufacturer of plasterboard, is to make over 10% of its 250 staff redundant. The firm, based near Penrith in Cumbria, is to make 30 staff redundant as a result of reduced demand for its products from the declining construction sector. As of 18 January 2009, no announcement has been made as to when these redundancies will occur.
