European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Waterstones, a book retailer, is to cut 200 staff across the UK. The firm, which employs 4,500 staff at its 303 stores is attempting to reduce costs. As of 18 January 2009, the firm has not announced at which sites or when these job losses will occur.
