The Denmark-based producer of hearing aids GN Resound announced at the beginning of January 2009 that it is to cut 200 jobs worldwide. The management of GN Resound does not rule out that more employees in Denmark will be made redundant. The redundancies are part of a large scale cost-saving plan that aims at streamlining the company and increase competitiveness. GN Resound has 3,300 employees worldwide.
