Description
On 22 December 2008, Siemens Elektromotory, an electric motor manufacturer, announced 210 job cuts out of a total 2,100 employees at its Mohelnice plant. This restructuring was due to the global financial crisis and was to be implemented at the beginning of 2009. On 19 March 2009, the company said that a total number of job losses would reach up to 600 and be implemented by the end of April 2009.
