Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Peab Sweden has issued a notice to 195 employees to cope with lower demand and instability in the construction market, especially in the Stockholm region. 140 of them are blue-collared and 55 are white-collared. According to the Human Resources department, the market has declined because there is no demand for buying newly built apartments in Stockholm today. The hope is to implement a strategy for the redundant employees, but it is inevitable that some of the workers have to be let go, reported the chief of information Niclas Brantingson in an interview.
