Description

Silon Planá nad Lužnicí, the largest producer of polyester fibres and compounds in Central Europe, has announced the loss of 129 jobs from a total of 600 by the end of 2008 due to the decline of customer orders.

The company has customers in more than 30 countries and it operates in Germany, France, Canada. It has also majority participation in a joint-venture in China.
